Elected at 21, Siddhali Anup Shah entered local government with a focus on listening to residents and working towards practical solutions. Alongside public service, she is pursuing law, with an interest in how law, governance and policy can widen access to opportunity.

“Mauli” is a Marathi word used with love and respect for a mother, symbolising care, support and nurturing. Siddhali established the Mauli Foundation at 18 with that same spirit of care and empowerment.
Coming from a rural background, Siddhali saw many women’s lives revolve around “Chul ani Mul” — the home and family — despite their skills, ideas and potential. Mauli Foundation creates spaces where women can learn, connect, build confidence and participate more actively in community life.
What began with a simple purpose has grown into a grassroots initiative creating opportunities for women to grow, lead and shape their own paths.
